What Is a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric dentist is a dental specialist who has received additional training and certification to treat infants, children, and children with special needs. Their extensive training provides them with the knowledge to treat children's specific dental and orthodontic needs.
Pediatric dentists can help children have a positive experience during their check-ups and learn how to take care of their teeth for years to come. Children’s dentists focus on the prevention and treatment of dental disease and the overall health of the children they treat.
Why Should You Choose an Arlington Children’s Dentist?
No matter a person’s age, a dental appointment can be a little scary, but this can be especially true for children who don’t know what to expect. You may also be worried or anxious about some aspect of your child’s visit.
Pediatric dentists can also take much of the anxiety out of dental visits for parents and children who may be worried or overwhelmed.
Because children’s dentists have extensive experience treating children, they also tend to be better at handling the emotional and developmental issues that affect how children respond to dental treatment. They can also help with any worries you may have.
Their educational training and skills help children feel more comfortable during their dental visits. If children have positive experiences at the dentist when they’re young, they’re more likely to keep their teeth healthy and visit the dentist in Arlington throughout their entire life.
Children’s Dental Center in Arlington caters specifically to children. Our kid-friendly environment helps make your child’s dental appointments more enjoyable for everyone involved.
All of our dentists and staff have years of experience treating children of all ages with the highest level of care and consideration. We’re not just trying to fix dental issues for your child. We’re also trying to work with you to prevent future issues.
Expert Care For a Life-Long Smile
As a pediatric dental practice, we recognize the specific dental and behavioral needs unique to children and dentition that differ from an adult's. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or simple preventive oral hygiene routines instruction.
We don’t just focus on treating existing dental problems. At Children’s Dental Center, we also focus on preventing problems by educating children and parents.
We strive to provide a fun, educational environment where children can learn about the importance of dental hygiene and how it helps to prevent tooth decay and subsequent treatment.
